Wave7 Optics to Provide PON Solution for New FTTP Network Serving Enterprise Customers in 86 Municipalities Around Paris

Wave7 Optics and SPIE Communications have announced that the Trident7 Optical Access Platform has been selected for a new municipal network called SEQUANTIC, which is slated to begin service in October 2007. This new point-to-multipoint network is a project initiated by the SIPPEREC public consortium, which represents the electricity and telecommunications interests of approximately 1.7 million residential, commercial and industrial customers located in 86 municipalities around Paris.
